Rain, rain, go away

Image from Polyvore

Just a quick one - Saw this Zara coat in the sale for £15 and couldn't resist, I can't stay away from a bargain! Luckily Linda McCartney sent me a tenner for a faulty 'roast', and I had been saving it for a rainy day, so really I have her to thank. Jeans from Topshop, Courts from H&M. Excuse my face in this photo, I look horribly washed out - I blame a teething baby.

Oh yeah and my hair is brown now.

Anticipation

This winter isn't even out and I'm already lusting after A/W 12-13 pieces. VOGUE.CO.UK are just flaunting beautiful upcoming trends and I. WANT. THEM. NOW.  Obviously golden oldies are coming back around (monochrome, leather - done beautifully by JASON WU and ALEXANDER WANG) but I'm really enjoying the military theme that seems to be playing out - heavy khaki coats at TOPSHOP UNIQUE, and stiff tailoring at VB being some of the best. My favourite of all, so far, though, has to be THANKOON - pure unadulterated feminine elegance made exciting with bold colours and prints - the collection summed up beautifully how I want to be (and reinforced my lusting of Topshop's printed pencil skirt, below)

Cravings of the day

If money was no object... Rag & Bone high waisted shorts, Jeffrey Campbell studded Lita booties, Alexander Wang tote.

February 14th

Simple outfit inc. Kurt Geiger pouch (bought with a free Elle gift card), H&M courts & tee and Valentines' presents from Jake; Topshop leather look leggings and 2nd hand Banana Republic coat. I am doing a wardrobe Spring Clean tomorrow so hoping I will find some hidden gems, or at least rekindle some love for some out of date pieces. Am going to get Jake to photograph me in every single item so I know how I really feel and hopefully find some beautiful new combinations (so maybe I can stop moaning about having nothing to wear). Jake got an American Apparel shirt for Valentines (see below) - an absolute bargain in the sale.

P.S. I made a resolution today to post more - Little Pickle has got herself into a proper sleeping routine now so I have no excuse not to stick to it!

Brighton Tattoo Convention

Brighton Tattoo Convention was amazing. So many good artists and beautiful people.  I spent the whole time feeling bitter that I couldn't get anything done. Jodie got some beautiful antlers by Adam Sage and Archie got a pie by Adrian Willard. Me and Jake spent the entire afternoon drooling over talented artists, and consoling a grumpy baby. I drowned my sorrows in Chow Mein and promised myself that next year's would be the one.
